October 25

Good evening! Conference slips stating what day and time you are scheduled can be found in your child's Friday Folder.

Halloween is next Thursday. We will have a parade at 1:45 followed by our classroom party at 2:00. We will be doing a craft or playing a game. We will not have any snacks since we eat lunch so late this year. Parents are more than welcome to join in the fun.

In Language Arts next week we will be focusing on plural nouns (adding -s, -es, or -ies), and we will continue to practice comparing and contrasting characters in our stories.

In Math we will be working on graphing data, completing frames and arrows using two rules, and making change by counting up.

In Science will learn about earthquakes and volcanoes.

In Writing Workshop we continue to work on the narrative genre. We will begin publishing our next story for display!

Have a great weekend!

In Math we will continue to work on addition and subtraction strategies.

We will have our first Social Studies test on Wednesday, October 9. A study guide went home on Tuesday. We will review in class on Monday as well.
