Week of January 30

***Book reports are due on Wednesday, February 1! If your child would like to receive the 10 bonus points for dressing up as the famous person they researched, he or she should come dressed on Wednesday.

We will not have spelling homework or a test next week. We will be taking our Unit 3 Benchmark tests on Monday and Tuesday, Word Wall test on Wednesday, and writing assessment on Thursday. Please study the persuasive paragraph paper that was sent home last week with your child. They need to have all of the parts of a persuasive paragraph to receive full credit. We have also been discussing transition words and strong openings to grab the reader's attention. These should also be included in your child's writing.

We will continue to count money in Math. We are spending two days on each lesson in Math since this is the first time the students are learning about money. There will be days that they have the same numbered lesson sheet for homework, though the assignment will be different.

We will begin learning about the different states of matter in Science.

Homework Schedule:
Monday-Math sheet 7.2
Tuesday-Math sheet 7.3
Wednesday-Math sheet 7.3
Thursday-Math sheet 7.4

Have a great week!
