1st Grade-words with sh (wish, shin, etc.), red words one, eat, and take

2nd Grade-words with qu (quiz, quit, quite, etc.), red words because, they, right, really, and was

Upper levels-multisyllabic words with long vowels made by magic e (concrete, combine, reptile, trombone, etc.), red words enough, answer, bought, walk, were

Week of November 27

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Students will work on the following skills when they return next week:

1st Grade: words with sh, red words read, was, and after

2nd Grade: words with z, red words might, dark,why, kept, and would

Upper levels: words ending in -ed and the three ways to pronounce it (/d/, /t/ /ed/, red words altogether, shall, thought, knock, and love

Since it is a short week this week, we will not learn a new concept or have new red words. We will review concepts that have been taught since September.

We are back to a normal schedule this week! The following will be worked on:

1st Grade-words with the letter n, sight words  she, our, and now

2nd Grade-words with x, sight words eye,high,few,people,and before

Upper level Orton-words with endings ang, ing, ong, ung, ank, ang, onk, and unk, and sight words world, their, father, even and already
