Good evening! Students have their first assignment for Spelling. Tonight, in their Spelling Journal, they should write each word 3 times each. We completed two words together so they would have an example. On another note, PTA Entertainment Books went home today in your child's backpack. If you would not like to sell them, please return them to school.

Good evening! Students have their first homework assignment tonight! In your child's folder you will find their Reading Log. Students should read for 15 minutes each night. Even on the weekends. Once they have completed their daily reading and they have written the title of the book and number of pages read, please sign your signature in the next column. The logs should be kept at home until the first of each month. September's log will be due October 1. Students will start receiving spelling and math homework next week.

Good evening parents and students! The first day of school was exciting! Students' homework will be posted to the blog every night. Anything that the students have for homework will be placed in their "Bring Back" side of their homework folder. For tonight, parents have the homework! Please be sure to sign all of the various papers in the "Bring Back" section and return as soon as possible. Beginning tomorrow, Reading Logs will be sent home. Students should read for at least 15 minutes. Keep these at home until the first of each month.

The First Day of School
Good morning, 2S! The first day of school is just a week away, and I am so excited to get to know everybody. I have a few bits of information for the first day of school:
1. We will have Gym on Tuesdays, so make sure you wear your sneakers on the first day!
2. We will have snack time each day. Please pack a healthy snack to eat.
3. You may have a water bottle on your desk during the day.
4. Parents, Back To School Night is on Tuesday, September 13!
Enjoy your last few days of vacation. I will see you Tuesday!
