January 17

Good afternoon!

We have come to a close in Chapter 6 of our mathematics and the students have been working very hard in class on reviewing and studying for the test which will be given tomorrow morning (1/17).

Looking ahead at the schedule...

January 21- school closed
January 22- Mid-year math assessment
January 23- Word wall test

Next week in Social Studies we will be taking a look at heroes and what it means to be a hero. We will be learning about Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks and Ruby Bridges.

As writers we are continuing to work on our persuasive writing. We are reading books as a class and identifying how the characters try to persuade each other one way or another.

In math, we are beginning Unit 7 on Tuesday and the unit will look at patterns and their rules.

This week we began our C.O.R.R.E.C.T. campaign as a school. We focused on courage this week and what it means to have courage.
