Good evening! Please check your child's folder this weekend. There is an important letter regarding our trip on May 17. We will be completing our Shell ID boxes with Mrs. Hahn on Thursday, May 3. Please bring in your shoe box by May 2, if you haven't done so already.

Our Unit 5 Word Wall Test is on Monday! Keep studying.

Good afternoon. Due to the Math test, Language Arts test, and Take Your Child to Work Day, our Unit 5 Word Wall spelling test will be next Monday, April 30. There is a copy of the words in your child's folder. Please study them with him/her.

Our field trip to Sterling Mine is May 17. Please remember to return the permission slip with payment by Friday, April 27.

This week in Language Arts we will be working on /f/ using lf, gh, and ph. We are finishing up Unit 10 in Math today. Using parenthesis in solving equations will be introduced today. Continue to have your child practice making change from $5 and $10.

Good evening! Today in Math we worked on place value. Please practice with your child by telling them a number and asking how many thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones. Due to Take Your Child to Work Day on April 26, our Unit 10 Math Test will be on Friday, April 27.

Good evening! It's nice to be back and getting in the swing of things. This week in Language Arts we will be working on words with ex and reviewing main idea. This is the last week in Unit 5 so our Benchmark Test will be April 23 and our Unit 5 Word Wall Test will be April 25. In Math, we are halfway through Unit 10. Our Unit 10 Test will be on Thursday, April 26. A study guide will be sent home on Tuesday.

Good evening! Our plant unit has come to an end, but your child should be able to describe the 4 basic parts of the plant and what they do. We put some radish and lima bean seeds into clear freezer bags to see the process a plant goes through. If your child's seed has not sprouted, please make sure the paper towel is damp and left in a sunny spot. If your child's seed has sprouted, they may plant it in soil if they would like. The seeds do not have to come back, but I can't wait to hear if any of the lima bean seeds sprout over break since only one set of those seeds did in class. Have a great break. See you Monday, April 16!

Good evening! We will not be reading a story from Scott Foresman this week, but we do have spring themed spelling words! For homework tonight students should complete their word search and Home Link 10.2.

We will be going to the Used Book Sale tomorrow in the library. Each book is 50 cents. If you would like your child to make a purchase, please send the money in with him/her tomorrow.

Tomorrow is also Spirit Day. Don't forget to wear your hair in a crazy way! School colors work too.
