Good evening! Our Holiday Party will begin at 11:30 tomorrow. Also, please be aware that the students return from Winter Break on Tuesday January 3, not January 2.

For homework tonight, students should use each spelling word in a sentence and look over their Unit 4 Study Guide for their math test tomorrow.

Good evening! Students should complete both sides of their December Words sheet and finish their Unit 4 Study Guide if they did not finish in class. Our math test will be on Friday.

Good evening! In Math today, we continued learning the partial-sums method of addition. There is no math homework tonight other than practice fact family triangles. Students should write their spelling words in ABC order and read for 15 minutes.

December 19

Good evening! There will not be a Scott Foresman story this week, but we will have a spelling test on Friday. Students should write their spelling words 3 times each for homework. They should also complete Home Link 4.9.

Our holiday party is on Friday, December 23. It will begin at 11:30.

Unit 4 Math Test will also be Friday. We will begin reviewing in class Wednesday and a study guide will be sent home so that students can review the material at home too.

Good afternoon! Progress reports are complete and will go home on Monday, December 18.

On Friday, we will be having a pizza party. Please provide $3 by Tuesday, December 20 if your child would like to participate. This will cover the cost of the pizza and a drink. If you would like to provide another snack for the class as well, please let me know.

Good evening! Don't forget it's Hat Day tomorrow. Bring in a canned good to wear your hat!

For homework, students should complete 11-12 on Home Link 4.8, and use each spelling word in a sentence.

Good evening! Students began learning about ballpark estimating in Math today. It is a hard concept to grasp, and we will continue to go over it tomorrow for more practice. Since we did not get to talk about estimating with 100s, students should only complete 1-10 on their Home Link 4.8 tonight. They will complete 11 and 12 tomorrow. Students should also read their Phonics Reader.

Don't forget about Hat Day on Friday. Please bring in a canned good to participate.

Good evening! For homework tonight, students should complete Home Link 4.7 and write their spelling words in ABC order. We will have a test in Math on Unit 4 next Friday, December 23. A study guide will be sent home next Wednesday.

Happy Monday! We have finished our first Flat Stanley book and will begin writing our letters this week. We are so excited to see where Stanley is going to travel!

Hat Day is Friday, December 16. A donation of a canned good for the K-Kids food drive is requested in exchange for wearing a hat.

For homework tonight, students should write their spelling words three times each and complete Home Link 4.6.

Good evening! Tomorrow is Spirit Day! Students may bring a stuffed animal (one that can fit on their desk) or wear blue and yellow. The holiday concert is Wednesday, December 7 and Holiday Shop is Friday, December 9.

For homework tonight, students should write each word 3 times each and complete Home Link 4.2.
