Weeks of March 26 and April 4/5

We will work on the following concepts this week and next:

1st grade: read and spell words with open and closed syllables (jumbo, lotus, etc.)

2nd grade: read words with vowel units ang, ing, ong, ung, ank, ink, onk, unk

Upper levels: read and spell words with oo (bloom, groom, etc.)

Have a great break!

Week of March 19

We will work on the following next week:

1st grade-closed and open syllables (be/bed, hi/hid, we/web)

2nd grade will continue to practice ending blends. A test will not go home today. The test will be given next Friday.

Upper levels-y as a vowel (gym, penny, sky, etc.)

Week of March 5

We will be reviewing previously taught concepts this week along with completing work missed from last Friday. There will not be a test given on this Friday, March 9.
