Good evening! Students have been reading the story "Teammates" this week. They are learning about the prejudice Jackie Robinson faced when he played baseball and how Pee Wee Reece stood by him. The students really enjoyed seeing the two players' original baseball cards from 1951, along with Mickey Mantle's and Roberto Clemente's.
The rest of the week's homework is as follows:
Tuesday: Practice Book p. 13, Spelling p. 7, finish defining vocabulary, comprehension questions 1-5 (if not completed in class)
Wednesday: Practice Book p. 17 (Main Idea), Grammar p. 8, Spelling p. 8, study for vocab quiz
Thursday: Practice Book p. 18, Grammar p. 9, study for spelling test
