February 28

The science fair projects were amazing! I have heard many positive comments about the hard work the students did as well as how nice they presented their information. I enjoyed hearing all about the different experiments over the last two weeks!

Riffy, our class pet has made an appearance! Each night one of our students will be taking him home and writing a journal entry as if they were Riffy. Students are to explain what Riffy does after school and into the night. Riffy must be returned the next day because many students are anxious for their turn to take our class pet home!

Tomorrow we have some visitors coming in to the class to read to our 2nd grade. Dr. Seuss' birthday is on Saturday which is also Read Across America Day. Mrs. Sakos will be our first reader of the morning along with people coming in to read. It will be nice to see some of our retired staff come back and see the children.

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Friday) there is a Unit 8 math test. The students have been working hard on a review packet so please be watching for those to come home. Next week we are having a word wall test on March 6th, please take some time to study with your child.

Have a great weekend!
